OUTSTANDING IN THEIR FIELD

Jim Potterton’s painting “Sur Surf”  won “Best Painting in Show” at the 25th Annual Coastal Arts League Juried Show. Jim also won an “Honorable Mention” for his painting “Sur Sun” at this Half Moon Bay exhibit.

Laurie Longenecker’s realistic acrylic paintings and Anita Heckman’s monotype prints & Paintings are displayed at the Art Exhibit at the County Government Center, 701 Ocean Street, Santa Cruz through March 31.

Ed Smiley’s Show “Stroke of Luck” Opening: Friday, Feb. 5, 6-9PM at Louden Nelson Center, 301 Center St, Santa Cruz. The show will run February 5th through March 4th.

Joao de Brito’s Exhibit “Colors from the Heart” at the Hidden Garden’s Art Gallery, Guanacaste, Costa Rica.

Bill Ferre is showing his watercolor and oil paintings at Palace Arts, 41st Ave. ,Capitola, through  March.

Stephanie Schriver, James Aschbacher, & Ruth Korch’s artwork is in “It’s Raining Cats & Dogs”, through Feb. 28, at the Many Hands Gallery, 510 Bay Ave., Capitola.

Directors Meeting

The Board of Directors meets every third Thursday of every month from 5:15-7pm in the Santa Cruz Art League classroom. There will be refreshments. All are welcome! It's your League, so get involved, have fun! The Board has moved its February meeting to Thursday, Feb. 25th, 5:15-7PM.
